This week's Teen Tuesday post is about Anxiety. We all have it, we all have to handle it. What are some things that make us, especially teens, anxious? How does God want us to deal with it? How does He feel about it? These are some of the applications that were discussed for this lesson. The teen posts are written by my daughter and the lessons are being used with our high school young ladies class on Wednesday nights.

This is a great lesson for kids! The obvious main point is do not lie! I printed the money bag project that works with the IFA: Investigating Facts in Acts theme and used them for review and discussion about telling lies.

We are studying Peter healing Aeneas & Dorcas. Dorcas was a well loved woman and was known for her good deeds. The project today is accordion shirts. Depending on your time in class, you can have them prepared or let the students cut them out and attach the two parts. They can draw or write things they can do to be a helper like Dorcas.

For this Teen Tuesday series, we will be sharing ideas from my daughter's Wednesday night classes with the high school young ladies. Though, these lessons are suitable for young men also. This first lesson is about being thankful and there were a couple of interesting discussions... but, I can't tell you about that without giving away the lesson plan!

I have recently added some items to my TPT store and while doing that, I needed to update the downloads. These printables started out to just be the file folder game with new graphics, but as I worked on them, I came up with all new ideas! So, that led to a new blog post to share them here. And, I just found another new set of graphics, so I will think of more ideas! Maybe, some projects with these.

Today's post is written by my daughter. She was able to visit the Creation Museum and we are sharing thoughts and photos from the visit. I was able to visit when it just opened up and they have added a lot since my visit. We really enjoyed it! My thoughts that I have added are in (parenthesis). And, I have added a Pocket Facts Printable that can be used with or without going to the Creation Museum. It can be used to look at some Bible Facts Creation to Jesus Christ & Paul.

I have divided these last days of Jesus more than the last time I posted them. I plan to have a quarter (13 weeks) of the Later Life of Jesus next summer with a more in depth study and different projects and a lapbook. This week there is a layered heart for the students to fill-in-the-blanks while discussing some of the things that Jesus did to show how much He loves us.

This week is Jesus in the garden. I hand out the Malchus mask and the kids loved it when they saw the ear was removable! While I taught the lesson, I had a plastic ear in my pocket and when I came to the Malchus part, I used my sword and cut of my right ear! Oh, they love that! You can see the ears here. There is a praying hands printable. There are a lot of different things to learn about prayer, but for this lesson, I decided to discuss what to pray for and how to pray. I used it as a conversation starter to discuss prayer and this can be used for several different lessons.

The printable for this lesson are Life of Jesus Task cards and they are cards that can be used for Life of Jesus review or... more ideas are listed! We are getting to the end of the life of Jesus, and I have divided the next several lessons more than I originally planned.

This is such a fun lesson! I love watching the kids enjoy learning the Bible and they love this one! I like teaching most of the parables, but The Prodigal Son and this one seems to be favorites! There are sheep and coin printables that are scriptures that you can hide or shuffle for the kids to put in order.

I made all new bulletin boards and posters to go with Investigating Facts in Acts (IFA). I realize that investigating, detectives and secret agents are not a new concept, but I did use the graphics that I could find to create new ideas and printables for the book of Acts and Life of Paul.
It all started when I found so many great items for sale this Spring for VBS that had to do with Investigators! I started at Hobby Lobby and my head just filled with all kinds of ideas! Then, Oriental Trading had a lot, so I had even more ideas in my head! Then, Lifeway had their VBS with the Agency D3, and I found some items in their store! Since I thought Investigating Bible Facts is a great idea anyway, I decided to teach the 30 weeks of Acts with this theme. I will have bulletin boards, worksheets and different ideas for this. This post is the bulletin boards and posters I created.

This week's lesson are three parables from Jesus. These are the visuals I set up. The barn is a bird house I found at a craft store and painted. I found the grain stalks during the fall and added some Fisher Price fencing and more bales of grain. The Pearl of Great Price is a basket with larger (8 mm) pearl beads. The treasure is a wood box that I found at Hobby Lobby. I just used brown fabric (or felt or actual dirt). I let the students have a treasure chest, added a pearl bead and a grain stalk. Then, add stickers of Jesus, the Bible, Heaven and discuss what real treasure is.

Here are photos to use for ideas for bulletin boards. These bulletin boards are photos from my niece Nicole Whitacre. Thanks for letting me post the photos! I do not have any printables for Nicole's boards, they are just for you to get ideas.

Special thanks to Nicole Whitacre for permitting me to use her Jacob & Joseph wall decorating photos! As with all of Nicole's photos, there are not any printables, just the pictures to give you ideas to decorate your classroom for teaching Bible facts. This quarter was Jacob and Joseph.

The students that were in class for this lesson were all at VBS this year when I taught The Prodigal Son. We used this lesson more as a review. They love filling in the lapbooks and seeing the goodies that I hand out for this lesson.

This is the visual aids that I set up for this lesson. I used 4 Ziploc plastic containers and I added dirt in each. The first was dirt with a lot of clay, and I made it hard on top. I added seeds the biggest seeds on top that I could find and found the small blackbirds at Michaels. For the second visual, I added rocks and artificial flower stems w/o the flowers. The third one had straw-like vines and thorns (which I will add real ones the morning before class from a rose bush). The last visual had the good ground and I used a healthy house plant, or you can use the container with dirt that they can run their fingers through and green artificial/real healthy plants.

These preschool Bible lessons are created and used at home, so there are some basic preschool learning skills printables added to each post. The Bible lesson and Bible printables are suitable for home or Bible class use. As of this post, we have covered most of the alphabet, but now little sister is learning her preschool skills! So, I am starting over with the alphabet, and adding preschool lessons that are not posted here yet, and plan to add as much from the book of Acts that I can. This week's lesson is about Paul and he teaches about the Unknown God.

I use this visual to represent the house on the sand and the rock. I push the house on the sand down into it so it looks like it is falling down. You just can't push the house on the rock! Even if you decide to use a pile of rocks, the house will still stand.

Who typically serves at your church? Is it a certain generation, a certain gender, or maybe just the same people do it all? These are common problems that I have seen as I have grown up and went to different congregations. As a teenager, I was never sure exactly of all of the service opportunities in the church and why people serve to begin with...

Today's lesson is about Lazarus and I shifted this lesson so I could keep the miracles of Jesus together. They will finish their lapbooks and take them home, then we will begin the parables lapbook. I have the parables of Jesus together also.
