Preschool Alphabet: F is for Fish

http://kidsbibledebjackson.blogspot.com/
E is for Fish = Jonah
Preschool at home ideas and printables!
This week we are working on the letter F and we discussed the facts about Jonah
and the great Fish that God created!
We had a lot of fun making these fishbowls! I found the glass fishbowls at Dollar Tree. We painted the inside with blue paint to look like there is water inside. They added fish stickers all around the outside. Then, when the paint was dry, they put in the blue stones and plastic fish. You can see in her face that she is enjoying it!

I use these fish for handouts for a lot of Bible lessons! You can see the fish here.

The (condensed) Bible lesson we talked about is God told Jonah to go to Nineveh. Jonah thought he could run and hide from God, which you can't. Jonah went on a boat, there was a storm and he was tossed off the boat into the water. God created a great fish and it swallowed Jonah. (Jonah 1:17) Jonah was in the fish for 3 days & nights, and the fish spit him out on dry land (Jonah 2:10) God talked to Jonah again, and told him to go preach to the great city of Nineveh. Jonah listened to God the second time!

I printed the fish on heavy colored cardstock and cut out the fish on page 9 on the F is for Fish download pack below. The girls painted them, then we used brads to attach the top of the fish over Jonah to be a lift-the-flap. They loved it!
There are pictures to color for fish, frog, flower and fingerprint.
I let them color the frog, then we added the lily pad.
I had them use finger paint to make their fingerprints for the fingerprint worksheet. We talked about fingers, hands, etc. and "God made them".
She loves mazes, so there is a maze to make Jonah go through each part of his trip to Nineveh. We added flower stickers and sun, etc. for the flower.  For the fish, they colored it, then glued Jonah on the page. You can download all the F printables here.
