I am creating projects for the 3
year old class on Wednesday nights this quarter, and I thought I would share
what we did. Joseph is divided into 2 lessons.
For the lesson about Joseph, we talked about Joseph as a boy.
Yes, there are LOTS of ideas and printables for Joseph's coat. But, that is
what I wanted to create! I had decided to let them use paint for something
different to do. This can be colored also. Download the Coat of Many Colors Worksheet here. But, after asking the students how many of them had used paint before, I decided to make our life easier and use the Dot Markers to make the coat of many colors! They love them anyway!
I also took in my Joseph's Coat visual for them to try on and see the different
colors for their paper. We acted the lesson out for review and I also hade a money bag for them to take home. This type of bag here. And coins from here.
The kids loved the map for Abraham! When I used it for review
the next week, the ones that hadn't been in class the week before, really
wanted one! So, I decided to add this map with this lesson. This can also be
used for the next lesson. Everything is printed directly on the map. The
download includes the color and the black & white map to print. I printed
the black & white on to paper that looks like a scroll for the students and
the color for the teacher's visual. I used ribbon to tie it together after they
rolled it. Click here to download.
I really couldn't decide on this project, but I really wanted
something fun and different. I realize a lot of you will not want to use this
project because there is some prep time for this age group. But, I think the
kids are worth it! And, they loved it!
