The Book of John chapter study is designed for older students with some worksheets and printables that correspond for younger students so they can be used in classes with several ages together or used specifically for an event that is in the chapter.
Most of the worksheets have the teacher's answer sheets included, and some are in color and black & white.
Fold the Foldable Book in half lengthwise, then fold in page 3, then fold the front cover on the line. To make the Flip Book, cut on the dotted line to separate the top from bottom. Cut the bottom pictures out on solid line. Layer in order and staple as shown on the gray rectangle. They are in color and black & white. The 3-D standup scene works best if printed on cardstock or heavier paper.
The 3-D scene is super easy to prepare and fun for the kids and can be used as a visual, too! Color and black & white are both included. Print on paper or cardstock, although cardstock works better. Cut above and below on the black dotted lines to remove directions and standups. Fold the scene in half. Cut on black dotted lines on each side of the center rectangle. Fold bottom of scene forward on gray solid line. Fold forward on top line. Fold backward on the inside line. Cut the people on the solid lines and fold on the dotted lines. Students can turn each ruler while you discuss Jesus on trial.
The first worksheet is a fill in the blank. Instead of numbering these 1, 2, 3, etc., they are numbered with the verse to read first, then fill in the blanks using the Word Bank. The next is a cut & glue timeline, concept chart, and a cut & glue verse which was designed for those asking for cut & glue. It is an easy scripture to cut out the words and glue them in order. The students will also write out the verse. This was a suggestion from a teacher. The next is a word search and Write it Out! which includes 4 pictures for the students to write about what the scripture states, or for a review. There is a Reader Worksheet which has pictures for the students to write the number under each to put them in order after reading the summary of the lesson. The Letter Boxes has a word bank for students to fill in the correct word that fits the boxes. There is a number code and alphabet code worksheet.
The Concept Chart is designed create discussions, look up and review main points in each chapter. They are intentionally kept plain so they can be used to each classroom's needs. This includes the verses to look up, discuss, and write whatever you decide.
This basic map of Jerusalem is included in the last days of Jesus. One map is labeled, and one has spaces for the students to fill in. I used the map each week and gave the kids an appropriate sticker from a sticker set (the set I use isn't sold any longer) to add to each space after discussing it and numbering it."Everyone who is of the truth hears My (Jesus') voice. These printables can be used for this lesson and any other appropriate lesson and were kept plain intentionally for this purpose. A key verse was chosen from the chapter to use for discussion, memory work, and copy work. Students can color or paint the designs on the banner, door hanger, poster, and bookmark. Stickers can be added. String or ribbon can be added to the banner to hang and on the bookmark.
