This is a lesson that was used for preschool on Wednesday night.
I will be posting several Acts for preschool.
Peter and John were in Jerusalem. They were going to the temple to pray to God. The temple was like a church building where people went to worship God.
There was a man at the gate of the temple that wasn’t able to walk. He was born this way and his friends carried him to the temple every day. The man couldn’t work, so he sat outside the temple to ask people for money.
When the man saw Peter and John, he asked them for money. Peter told the man to “Look at us.” Peter wanted his attention!
Peter told the man that they didn’t have any money. Peter told the man that he had something else to give him. Peter said “In the name of Jesus, get up and walk.”
Peter took the man’s right hand and helped him up! He stood up immediately and his body was healed so that he could walk! That is a miracle!
The jumped up and walked! He was so excited! He went into the temple with Peter and John. He was walking, jumping up and down and praising God! All the people saw him healed! When the people realized that he was the man that asked for money every day because he couldn’t walk, the people were amazed!
Peter asked the people “Why are you looking at us?” It is because of God’s power (miracle) that the man was healed and can walk.   (Found in Acts 3:1-16)
This Picture Wheel is great for review. The kids can retell the lesson by looking at the numbered pictures. This has the color and black and white included. Directions are also included. Click here to download.

This is a great lesson to let the students act out for review. They can get up and move and learn at the same time! Add a blanket and basket and coins for the man to ask for money.

  3. Hi Debbie! Your lessons are very creative! At the moment, we are doing our Sunday School lessons via email. Can I send parents a link to the picture wheel above so they can print it and complete it at home?

    1. Yes, absolutely! Thanks for sharing! During this time, you have permission to email the PDF if you want to with the picture. I understand some might have different issues with their computer and/or skills and decided to make it easiest as possible for readers. As long as the last page with the logo remains attached, this might be easiest for you. Thanks for asking.
