Adam and Eve are lesson 2 in the first quarter of a year of Preschool Bible Study that I assist with on Wednesday evening. *Note: This lesson is mostly a review of creation and includes Adam & Eve eating the fruit. They had to leave the Garden of Eden for their disobedience.

Last week we learned about creation. There are two parts of the Bible: Old & New Testament. Our lesson is found in Genesis (2-3) and is the first book of the Old Testament. The very first verse in the Bible is ‘In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.’ We talked about what God made each day.
Review:
Day 1 light called Day and the darkness was called Night
Day 2 created the sky and water
Day 3 separated the water to make the oceans. That made dry land. God added grass, flowers and trees
Day 4 sun, moon & stars (includes planets)
Day 5 fish and birds
Day 6 animals and Adam & Eve
Day 7 God rested

Adam & Eve are the first people that God created. Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden. God gave them everything they needed. The animals came to Adam, and he gave them all their names.
There were two trees in the middle of the garden. One was called the Tree of Life. The other was called the tree of knowledge of good and evil. There was also a river in the garden. God said: “You can eat of every tree in the garden, except for the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat from that tree, you will die.”
There was a serpent in the garden. What is that? A snake. The serpent asked Eve if it was true that God told them they couldn’t eat of every tree in the garden. Eve told the serpent that they could eat the fruit from every tree except for the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Then the serpent said you will know good from evil. So, when Eve saw the tree was good for food and it looked good to her eyes, she took the fruit and ate. The Bible says fruit; we do not know what kind it was.

Then, after Eve took a bite of it, she gave it to Adam.  Adam took a bite of it also! God told Adam & Eve to leave the Garden of Eden for their disobedience.

This week I used a simple project. This has a background with the Garden of Eden and Adam and Eve can be put on a craft stick or cut & glued. I left it with spaces to add stickers of flowers and animals that I will let the students pick. When I use this type, I print the background in black & white and Adam & Eve are in color. I cut these out and glue them to the craft stick before class. So, these are interchangeable. Click here to download.
