Elijah Fed by Ravens

This Old Testament study is designed for older students with some worksheets and printables that correspond for younger students so they can be used in classes with several ages together or used specifically for the lesson. Most of these lessons have project printables for younger students that I have been wanting to add for some time.

All of the worksheets have the teacher's answer sheets included and most are in black & white.

To create the 3-D scene,

This first step is important!

1. Cut on black dotted line under background to remove Elijah and ravens.

2. Fold background in half and cut on both black dotted lines.

Fold on gray solid lines: Fold bottom of scene forward on solid line. Fold the sky forward on top line. Fold backward on the inside line. This can be printed on paper or cardstock, but Elijah will work best if printed on cardstock. Cut Elijah and the raven around solid outside border and fold on dotted lines. The raven can hang on the center 3-d fold after the students let it fly around a little bit!

This is super easy to prepare and fun for the kids and can be used as a visual, too! Color and black & white are both included.

To make the Flip Book, cut on the dotted line to separate the top from bottom. Cut the bottom pictures out on solid line. Layer in order and staple as shown on the gray rectangle. They are in color and black & white. The Spinner will work best if printed on cardstock or heavier paper.

The first worksheet is a Reader Worksheet which has pictures for the students to write the number under each to put them in order after reading the summary of the lesson. The second was designed for those asking for cut & glue. It is an easy scripture to cut out the words and glue them in order. The students will also write out the verse. This was a suggestion from a teacher. There are two color by number worksheets and an alphabet and number code worksheets, and a word search puzzle. The write it out! has three pictures that the students will write about each picture either from the Bible chapter, or from what they remember about the lesson. The thought question is actually a statement for this lesson and can be used before the lesson as an introduction, or after as a conversation starter. These printables can be used for this lesson and any other appropriate lesson and were kept plain intentionally for this purpose. A key verse was chosen to use for discussion, memory work, and copy work. Students can color or paint the designs on the banner, door hanger, poster, and bookmark. Stickers can be added. String or ribbon can be added to the banner to hang and on the bookmark.

This Tic Tac Toe game is super easy to make and use! The game board represents the Bible and the meat and bread the ravens took to Elijah are the game pieces. This is a one-page printable in color and black & white. The students can be divided into groups and whoever answers a question, can add a team game piece to the board. Depending on time, you can play 1 or best out of 3/5 games can determine the winners.
