The Book of John chapter study is designed for older students with some worksheets and printables that correspond for younger students so they can be used in classes with several ages together or used specifically for an event that is in the chapter.

Most of the worksheets have the teacher's answer sheets included, and some are in color and black & white.

Pocket Basket

There are several 3-d baskets to choose from on this website. This one was designed to be a one-page printable with easy to cut and put together. It is easier to use for younger students with the front lower than the back to insert the food. The bread and fish can be easily cut out on the rectangles, or they can be cut around the actual bread and fish.

This works best if printed on cardstock or thicker paper. Cut out the two basket pieces and the bread & fish. Glue sides and bottom of the bigger piece (back) only and lay the smaller (front) piece on top matching sides and bottom to make a pocket for the food. Color and black & white are included.

To make the Flip Book, cut on the dotted line to separate the top from bottom. Cut the bottom pictures out on solid line. Layer in order and staple as shown on the gray rectangle. Fold the Foldable Book in half lengthwise, then fold in page 3, then fold the front cover on the line.  Both are in color and black & white. The Spinner will work best if printed on cardstock or heavier paper.

The first worksheet is a fill in the blank. Instead of numbering these 1, 2, 3, etc., they are numbered with the verse to read first, then fill in the blanks using the Word Bank. The second was designed for those asking for cut & glue. It is an easy scripture to cut out the words and glue them in order. The students will also write out the verse. This was a suggestion from a teacher. The timeline is a cut & glue the pictures in order.  The next is a chapter word search puzzle. There is a Who did it? worksheet with a description for each person. The students will cut out the people and glue them to the correct description. There is a Reader Worksheet which has pictures for the students to write the number under each to put them in order after reading the summary of the lesson. The write it out has four pictures with spaces for the student to write about what they read and remember. The shape words have words from the text which the students will look at the (letter) shapes and fill in the blanks. There is a number code and alphabet code worksheet.

Jesus is the Prophet God sent into the world. John 6:14 & Deuteronomy 18:18

These printables can be used for this lesson and any other appropriate lesson and were kept plain intentionally for this purpose. A key verse was chosen from the chapter to use for discussion, memory work, and copy work. Students can color or paint the designs on the banner, poster, door hanger and bookmark. Stickers can be added. String or ribbon can be added to the banner to hang and on the bookmark.

I purchased the lunch basket herethe fish here and I used the Stonefire Naan Rounds for the bread. My research shows the bread was probably 4-5" round and flat. John 6:9 tells us they were barley loaves.
