Parables of Jesus Lapbook

Monday, September 1, 2014
This lapbook has new, updated graphics for the Parables of Jesus.
It does not include all the parables, just the ones that I will be posting new lessons for.

This was one of their favorites, and I am not really sure why! I folded it like a book, and they kept flipping back & forth to fill in the blanks, so they enjoyed it. This  (and some of the other printables) can be used by themselves as a handout.
Click here to download the Parables lapbook.
This another fun one included in the download!

  1. Thanks so much for this lapbook. I was just wondering about the answer to one of the questions "What did Jesus say is worth giving up? Why?" We were discussing the various questions while completing the lapbook, but when we got to this one we were stumped. We couldn't figure out which parable it went with or what the answer might be. If you could let me that would be great.

    1. Hello, thanks for asking. This can be used for a lot of parables, because Jesus is saying that is worth giving up everything you have to go to Heaven. I used it with the Parables of the Hidden Treasure & Pearl of Great Price (Matt. 13:44-46), They sold everything to buy the one item that was worth everything and meant everything. These two parables are with a group of parables, and I just don't have time right now to work on all of them, but Jesus talks about Heaven and hell (Matt. 13:41-43), so not to give nightmares to second graders, I talked about doing what God wants, because it is worth it to go to Heaven. I also noticed that the first question didn't download correctly, so I can fix that also. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. absolutely GREAT! Love the visual aid! Thanks for sharing and giving!

  3. Thanks Debbie for sharing at Good Morning Mondays. Blessings

  4. Really good stuff!! Enjoyed reading this even though I have no children or grandchildren in this age group!

  5. Awesome lesson plan, Debbie! I love reading about Jesus telling the parables in the Bible. Thanks for sharing with #SocialButterflySunday! Hope to see you link up again this week :)

  6. Debbie...I love lapbooks and used them even with our highschoolers at one time. Our kids are all graduated now but I still think lapbooks are fabulous teaching tools. Thank you for sharing at Monday's Musings. :-)

  7. I love your lapbooks! But I have a question- How do you fold the template with the question-What did the Samaritan do to help the traveler? (It's in Some of the Parables of Jesus lapbook.) I am really stumped with this one...

    1. Devonna, I am so sorry! I was on vacation and I am just now catching up with emails. For that one, fold down in half, then tuck the sides in along the dotted lines. It will like a pyramid. Sorry, this is an older post and I have gotten better with directions ☺ Debbie

  8. Thought these were great!! However, is there some way where I can see the Parables of Jesus when it is all completed?? Helps a lot when I am trying to put together an example to explain to my Sunday School class how to assemble theirs!

    1. Sorry, this is an old post and I couldn't find one in my supplies to take a picture of. You might want to lay one out to have an idea with the pieces you plan to use and take a picture to show them.

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment! I appreciate it! They will be added as soon as they are approved.
