God Makes the Savanna Animals: Giraffes

Monday, September 10, 2018
This is part of our preschool learning we did at home. It includes ideas that can be used at home to learn about the animals God created. *This is intended for home use or preschool (or kindergarten) classes. They are not intended for Bible class.*
We began our study about giraffes with these information posters I created. They are two to a page to save printing. They have a real photo and information text easy for preschoolers to understand and hold their interest. Click here to download the posters.
These posters are two per page to save ink and in color only. They are real photos of animals in the Savanna. Click here to download.
We used these free clothes pin giraffes and added a yarn tail.
We also made these giraffe paper bag puppets. These are a make the template yourself and they loved using the dot markers to finish them. I found the bags at Dollar Tree and they wanted to keep them as a bag to use.
I found Savanna sticker sheets at the teachers store and they used them on backgrounds.
I printed a free giraffe maze here.
We used different Savanna animals for each animal study. For the giraffes, we used the Fisher Price animals. They looked through the bucket and picked out the animals we studied that live in the Savanna. They can group the animals, line them up by size or just play with them! ☺
We looked at these books from the library. This means this is what our library had available. If there is not a link, then it was not on Amazon at the time of posting. I suggest looking at your library to see what is available for free and if you love any of the books, then purchase them. Most of these are not really for preschoolers.

They really enjoyed Giraffe Meets Bird and Giraffes Can't Dance.
