Bible ABC's: X is for Xerxes
King Ahasuerus chooses Esther to be his queen!
This is Part 1 and covers Esther 1-5.
These lessons can be used without the alphabet theme.
Consider these an update with new ideas and printables!

The kids really love the Envelope Flips and Stand-Ups! Everything folds and fits into the envelope. They like to retell and move everything around. These can be used for a small teacher's visual depending on your class size. This works best printed on cardstock. Color and black & white are included.
There just has to be a new crown! Color and black & white included.
I love this verse!  These printables can be used for Esther and any other appropriate lesson and were kept plain intentionally for this purpose. Students can color or paint the designs on the banner, door hanger and bookmark. Stickers can be added. String or ribbon can be added to the banner to hang and on the bookmark.
A word search and a crossword are included.
The extras for this lesson are the palace (there is a crown maze included that is not shown).
Part 2 extras are crowns. the palace color-by-number-code, maze and dot-to-dot are included.
Continuing the palace theme, this is a build-a-palace. Students cut and glue 9 pieces to create their own palace and can color scenery and add stickers for more fun. If they like to build Legos, they will enjoy this. There is a direction page with easy to follow numbered instructions. The pieces are color and black & white.  There is a completed color palace to use also.
The first is a Reader Worksheet. The wording from the scripture is as easy to read as possible with sight words while keeping to the key points with easy to answer questions. The second is a fill-in-the-blank worksheet. Color and black & white are included for both.
I designed the Trip Strip to be a cut & glue timeline. This one shown has lines for the students to write about each event. Or, they can write the scriptures. There is another worksheet without the writing space. These can easily be used for mixed age groups. Cut and glue according to directions.
This is not included in the application pack. Click here to download.
These Event Cards can be used as smaller visuals and they can be shuffled for the student to re-tell the events and lay them in order. The same full-page size visuals and pictures-to-color can be downloaded below.
There are alphabet mazes and worksheets included. These are half-sheets and can be used in Interactive Notebooks. Click here to see a free video on how to make and use Interactive Notebooks. There is a set of 5 and 10 piece puzzles.

There is a one-page foldable book in color and black and white.
These pages can also be cut apart and used as flash cards to put the events in order.
There are over 50 visuals in the file and includes visuals
for the whole book of Esther.

Click here to download the pictures to color.
(These are the same as the visuals but are black & white.)
