An assortment of printables to learn about God makes the trees! This started as a fun Fall project to be outside, collect leaves and look at the changes Fall brings. But there are so many different trees, this is a basic (very basic) look at trees in a general sense.
There are file folder games, too!
Although I used the printables at home, they were designed to be used for homeschooling, Mother's Day Out, or any Bible learning situation where you are learning about God's creation.
Instead of a long-legged friend, we went outside and hunted for leaves. Our trees were not dropping the pretty leaves yet, so we looked at the colorful trees around us and had fun looking for these little leaves. We glued a super-size tree on large construction paper, did some coloring to add other things God made and glued on the leaves. It was a fun and very easy project.
There are so many choices in this file! Some include color and black & white like the crown, life cycle spinner, cut & glue, and slider shown in the middle and the short stories and more on the right. The basic worksheets are in black & white only.
The color cards can be used to review colors. Or print two for a game of Go, Fish!

This God Makes the Trees file includes pages that can be used as a flip book to discuss prepositions or as a visual. The book pages have different positions like under, on top, left, right, etc. The tree and squirrel are shown in the various positions. The book can be used to show the students what each word means. The pages are half pages and can be used in any order you prefer. Just cut in half and staple the pages on the left as shown.
There is a one-page stand-up that can be used with the book also. Print the background stand-up page on cardstock, cut and fold, and it's ready to use. As you flip each page and discuss where the trees and squirrels are, the students can copy the same movements with their one-page stand-ups. Color and black & white are included.
A file folder game/lapbook is so easy to make, it's fun, and reusable! Just say, "Let's play the colors game" and they think it's all fun and not for learning! Students will match each color leaf card with the same color tree on the file folder. Color is the only printing option since this is all about colors.
Students will match the tree top shape cards to the same tree shape.
