Samuel

This Old Testament study is designed for older students with some worksheets and printables that correspond for younger students so they can be used in classes with several ages together or used specifically for the lesson. Most of these lessons have project printables for younger students that I have been wanting to add for some time. Some printables cover chapters 1-4.

All of the worksheets have the teacher's answer sheets included and most are in black & white.

This file includes a lot of worksheets because Samuel was not included in the last Old Testament update.

The 3-D scene is super easy to prepare and fun for the kids and can be used as a visual, too! Color and black & white are both included.

To create the 3-D scene, print on cardstock. NEXT: Cut the people off on the black dotted line. This must be done first for the folds on the background to be in the correct placement.

Then, fold the background in half. Cut on black dotted lines on each side of the center curtain. Fold bottom of scene forward on gray solid line. Fold forward on top line. Fold backward on the inside line.

Cut the people on the solid lines and fold on the dotted lines and it's ready to use! The standups have graphics on both sides and can be turned around to retell the events of Hannah and Samuel. Eli does not leave the tabernacle.

To make the Flip Book, cut on the dotted line to separate the top from bottom. Cut the bottom pictures out on solid line. Layer in order and staple as shown on the gray rectangle. Fold the Foldable Book in half lengthwise, then fold in page 3, then fold the front cover on the line. The Spinner and Foldable Book are in color and black & white. The Flip Book and Spinner work best if printed on cardstock or heavier paper.

The first worksheet is a fill in the blank. Instead of numbering these 1, 2, 3, etc., they are numbered with the verse to read first, then fill in the blanks using the Word Bank.  There is a number code and alphabet code worksheet. The next was designed for those asking for cut & glue. It is an easy scripture to cut out the words and glue them in order. The students will also write out the verse. This was a suggestion from a teacher. The next is a word search puzzle. The Write it out! has three pictures and the student will write about the events in each picture to review what they learned. There is a Reader Worksheet which has pictures for the students to write the number under each to put them in order after reading the summary of the lesson. There is a Who did it? worksheet with a description for each person. The students will cut out the people and glue them to the correct description. The review worksheet has been updated. There is a find the differences, a maze and a color-by-number included.

There isn't any rock like our God. 1 Samuel 2:2b

These printables can be used for this lesson and any other appropriate lesson and were kept plain intentionally for this purpose. A key verse was chosen to use for discussion, memory work, and copy work. Students can color or paint the designs on the banner, poster, door hanger and bookmark. Stickers can be added. String or ribbon can be added to the banner to hang and on the bookmark.
