There were so many great items for sale this Spring for VBS that had to do with Investigators! I started at Hobby Lobby and my head just filled with all kinds of ideas! Then, Oriental Trading had a lot, so I had even more ideas in my head! Then, Lifeway had their VBS with the Agency D3, and I found some items in their store! Since I thought Investigating Bible Facts is a great idea anyway, I decided to teach the 30 weeks of Acts with this theme. I will have bulletin boards, worksheets and different ideas for this. When I can, I will have the idea usable for any Bible lessons, not just Acts.
Parable of the Lost Sheep & Lost Coin
Saturday, October 18, 2014
This is such a fun lesson! I love watching the kids enjoy learning the Bible and they love this one! I like teaching most of the parables, but The Prodigal Son and this one seems to be favorites! There are sheep and coin printables that are scriptures that you can hide or shuffle for the kids to put in order.
Investigating Facts in Acts: Bulletin Boards & Posters
Wednesday, October 15, 2014
I made all new bulletin boards and posters to go with Investigating Facts in Acts (IFA). I realize that investigating, detectives and secret agents are not a new concept, but I did use the graphics that I could find to create new ideas and printables for the book of Acts and Life of Paul.
Parable of the Rich Fool, the Hidden Treasure & the Pearl of Great Price
Saturday, October 11, 2014
This week's lesson are three parables from Jesus. These are the visuals I set up. The barn is a bird house I found at a craft store and painted. I found the grain stalks during the fall and added some Fisher Price fencing and more bales of grain. The Pearl of Great Price is a basket with larger (8 mm) pearl beads. The treasure is a wood box that I found at Hobby Lobby. I just used brown fabric (or felt or actual dirt). I let the students have a treasure chest, added a pearl bead and a grain stalk. Then, add stickers of Jesus, the Bible, Heaven and discuss what real treasure is.
Bulletin Boards by Nicole
Wednesday, October 8, 2014
Here are photos to use for ideas for bulletin boards. These bulletin boards are photos from my niece Nicole Whitacre. Thanks for letting me post the photos! I do not have any printables for Nicole's boards, they are just for you to get ideas.
Parable of the Good Samaritan
This week's parable is the Good Samaritan. There is a foldable for the review project. The kids will love it! It is fun and easy, but you can discuss so many different neighbor things and make it work for several Bible lessons.
Wall Decorating by Nicole: Jacob & Joseph
Wednesday, October 1, 2014
Special thanks to Nicole Whitacre for permitting me to use her Jacob & Joseph wall decorating photos! As with all of Nicole's photos, there are not any printables, just the pictures to give you ideas to decorate your classroom for teaching Bible facts. This quarter was Jacob and Joseph.

Preschool Alphabet: A is for Areopagus in Athens
Thursday, September 18, 2014
These preschool Bible lessons are
created and used at home, so there are some basic preschool learning skills
printables added to each post. The Bible lesson and Bible printables are
suitable for home or Bible class use. As of this post, we have covered most of
the alphabet, but now little sister is learning her preschool skills! So, I am
starting over with the alphabet, and adding preschool lessons that are not
posted here yet, and plan to add as much from the book of Acts that I can. This week's lesson is about Paul and he teaches about the Unknown God.
Teen Tuesday: Teen Girls Day & Faith
Tuesday, September 16, 2014
Today's Teen Tuesday is about Faith and is written by my daughter. This is a continuation of the Teen Girls Day we had at our church building. But these lessons are appropriate for boys and girls. This is written by Danielle Ringold.
