We are finishing up with the judges today with Samuel and he leads us to David. We have a couple of lessons for David and his son Solomon to finish this 13-week quarter of the Old Testament Bible People. We will begin the next quarter with Elijah and Elisha.
This post is about a Psalm that David wrote. David wrote over 70Psalms in the Bible. A psalm is a song or a poem. Psalm 23 is a well known psalm that David wrote.
Preschool at home ideas and printables! We are studying a person from the Bible and a letter for one week. So, most of these ideas are for home use, not all are intended for Bible class.
I have combined the
usual lesson of God Talking to Samuel with more about Eli and the loss of
the Ark of the Covenant in a battle. As you can see below, I had the lesson on
the floor on blankets and turned off the lights since it was nighttime. Samuel
will lead us to David next week.
Our lesson today is Ruth. There is a science board visual
that you can download. It can be used for a bulletin board, magnetic
board, etc. Also, a chart for the students to use with the visual is
available. I made a cute basket with knowledge cards. You can make them for the
students or make one to use for review. The grains on the tops of the
cards are directional to help with matching left and right.
Yah! I have more pictures to share with you from my niece Nicole Whitacre! So, that means the ideas are here for you, without any printables and basically without any instructions. I have copied and pasted her comments and I pretty much let her pictures speak for themselves. I think they do a great job! Nicole likes to decorate her walls with the lessons! I feel good getting the bulletin boards ready!
I made a temple visual for Samson to stand in and we will finish the booklets that were part of last week's lesson. You can see the first part of Samson and the booklet (and more) here.
This post has the second part of the Old Testament Bible people worksheets to make it easier to find them. Included are Elijah & Elisha, King Josiah, Daniel, Job & Jonah.
Today's lesson is Esther and is divided into two parts. She is made queen this week, and we will have a feast next week! We act this lesson out, so there is not a craft. But there is a worksheet and Bible verse.
I know this lesson is usually divided into several, but I needed to cover the Old Testament in one year. Genesis and Moses were a quarter each, and different people in the Old Testament for the other two quarters. So, this is combined into one lesson. There are so many options for this lesson, too!
