Genesis Series: Creation

We are going to be studying the first book of the Bible. It is in the Old Testament and is called Genesis. Genesis means origin or beginnings, to come into being. It was written by Moses and the very first verse says: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. In this lesson, we are studying God's creation found in Genesis 1-2.

Creation Preschool Projects

I am creating projects for the 3 year old class on Wednesday nights this quarter, and I thought I would share what we did. Creation is divided into 4 lessons.

1.2. Genesis: Adam & Eve

Adam and Eve are lesson 2 in the first quarter of a year of Preschool Bible Study that I assist with on Wednesday evening. *Note: This lesson is mostly a review of creation and includes Adam & Eve eating the fruit. They had to leave the Garden of Eden for their disobedience.

My Visit to the Creation Museum

Today's post is written by Danielle Ringold. She was able to visit the Creation Museum and we are sharing thoughts and photos from the visit. I was able to visit when it just opened up and they have added a lot since my visit. We really enjoyed it! My thoughts that I have added are in (parenthesis). And, I have added a Pocket Facts Printable that can be used with or without going to the Creation Museum. It can be used to look at some Bible Facts Creation to Jesus Christ & Paul.

Moses: The Last Plague & Crossing the Red Sea

In this lesson, the 10 Plagues are reviewed that we have studied previously and complete the last plague. The Israelites are instructed by God what they are to do to be spared when He passes through Egypt for the 10th and last plague. The people are finally permitted to leave Egypt.

Using Task Cards in a Bible Class

I asked Danielle Ringold to write a post about using Task Cards in Bible class. I have been asked how to use them and there are several sets available on this blog. My daughter has used them in public education, so she has listed some ideas for us. I have used this photo for the weekly posts from Cathy since she often mentions the Tennessee hills that she sees from her bedroom window. In this photo alone, we see so many of God's blessings and His awesome creation. Cathy was a blessing to all who knew her and will be missed. Jesus Stays Behind at the Temple

Our lesson today is Jesus staying behind in the temple when He was 12. There is a song with a flip chart, and since He was in the temple, I made scrolls for the students.
