We are studying some of the great kings of the Bible for VBS this year. We called it Lifting up the King because that is the theme for this year and it tied in perfectly.
As you have probably seen the last couple of weeks, I decided to create some of the pieces for the Armor of God found in Eph. 6:10-20. This week is the Sword of the Spirit. Each piece takes a little time to assemble, but is worth it! If you do not want to make them for the students, these can be used as a teacher's visual.
This continues the pieces of the Armor of God. One thing led to another (as it usually does) as I taught the lesson about Jesus healing the Centurion's Son to the 3 year old class. I started with the shield and added the helmet. When I was getting the Armor of God lesson ready for the second grade class, I wanted more hands-on pieces. Since I have mostly boys this year, I thought they would really love having these. So, here we are with the helmet.
When I taught the 3 year old class about Jesus Heals the Centurion's Son, I made a helmet and shield for them to wear (and take home) as a hands-on review. I decided to create more printables because I have mostly boys this year and of course they will love the weapons!
This style of visual is used to put the pieces of the puzzle together as you teach the lesson. The lesson is included in the download and everything is numbered to make it easy to use.
When I taught the Jesus Healed the Centurion's Son lesson to the 3 year old class, I made the students a Roman helmet and shield to talk about the soldier. I decided to add a couple of printables to use with the second grade class for the Armor of God lesson.
Our VBS this year is Lifting Up the King. We will study some
great kings of the Bible: David, Solomon, Josiah and Jesus. Jesus being the
greatest King of all. This post includes the banners (flags) I created for our classroom.
This is a short (but special) post with a set of Bible Fact Cards that can be used for Bible memory for preschool. After a prayer and songs, we begin our lessons with this Bible review.
This is a set of visuals to use with the lesson about the 7 different churches in Asia that John wrote about in Revelation. See below for more on the visuals.
I have been wanting to expand the last days of Jesus lessons. I have them very condensed for my age group and because of the weeks I have them vs. the lessons I want to teach. This continues from Part B with some review and is about Jesus being crucified and the resurrection of Jesus. Scripture reference is Matthew 27:26-28:8.
I recreated this set of letters that spell VICTORY that Cathy has in her files. This Spell-it-Out set covers the last couple of days of the Life of Jesus.
I have been wanting to expand the last days of Jesus lessons. I have them very condensed for my age group and because of the weeks I have them vs. the lessons I want to teach. This continues from Part A with some review and is about Peter in the courtyard and he denies knowing Jesus. This lesson also discusses the trials that Jesus had that led to the cross. Scripture reference is Matthew
26:57 -27:26.
I have been wanting to expand the last days of Jesus lessons. I have them very condensed for my age group and because of the weeks I have them vs. the lessons I want to teach. So, I taught this after The Triumphal Entry and Jesus shows His disciples the Lord's Supper. Some of this happens just before and some just after, so they are part of this lesson, just as review and to put them in the correct order for the students. Scripture reference is Matthew 26:1-56.
This is a Magnetic Board Set of visuals to help teach The Parable of the Unforgiving Servant. This also includes a different set of posters for Parables and the lesson.
I am creating projects for the 3-year-old class on Wednesday nights this quarter, and I thought I would share what we did. There is a new printable and pictures to color for Jesus with Zacchaeus.
Continuing the Parables of Jesus Magnetic Board Visuals. As with all the Parables posts, I have included a new set of posters with the definition of a Parable.
The series of Preschool lessons that I am making projects to use also included Jesus when He stayed behind at the temple. But, I was working on T is for Temple and decided to use this printable for both posts.
These preschool Bible lessons are created and used
at home, so there are some basic preschool learning skills printables added to
each post. To talk about the letter T, we looked at Jesus in the Temple when He was 12.
Cathy had this puzzle she used for the Parable of the Good
Samaritan. I have also included a set of Magnetic Board Visuals using Cathy's
style so you would have them to use.
I am creating projects for the 3 year old class on Wednesday nights this quarter, and I thought I would share what we did. This post includes Jesus Love the Children.
For the Parable of the Sower, I created the visuals full page size so they can be used as a bulletin board also. There are also the Parable Posters and Application Posters.
I am creating projects for the 3 year old class on Wednesday nights this quarter, and I thought I would share what we did. These projects include Jesus was baptized and Jesus was tempted.
This is another in the series from my Sister-in-Law Cathy
Whitacre. Cathy loves to use her visuals on a magnetic board. There are two
sets perfect for use on a magnetic board that will cover most of Daniel below.
These preschool Bible lessons are created and used
at home, so there are some basic preschool learning skills printables added to
each post. The Bible lesson and Bible printables are suitable for home or Bible
class use. This week is M for Moses. There is so much for Moses and it was hard to decide what to talk about this week! So, I went with the beginning and used Moses and Miriam...
I really like studying King Solomon! This is part 17 and the last in the series for David. This has a set of Magnetic Board Visuals with an outline included to use as a base for the lesson.
I am creating projects for the 3-year-old class on Wednesday nights for this quarter, and I thought I would share what we did. These lessons for Jesus include Simeon and Anna seeing Jesus and the wise men visiting Jesus.
