Queen Esther Overview

 I decided to update my Esther lesson. Because of how I teach, I usually try to do a couple of fun lessons between Life of Jesus and Book of Acts. Esther is always one of them. But I wasn't feeling like doing the setup that I usually do. So, I updated everything and we even had a little extra time for review and discussion. This is an overview of the whole book of Esther in one lesson. It took me about 35 minutes to teach, and they stayed interested the entire lesson.

This is week 18 in the Life of David series. The lesson is found in 1 Samuel 29-30 and David has to fight the Amalekites to get his wives back that were captured.

Today's lesson is found in 1 Samuel 19. Michal is Saul's daughter that married David, and Jonathan is his son. They both want to protect David from their father, King Saul. David also gets help from the prophet Samuel and most importantly: God.

This lesson covers several different small topics for David. This is lesson 10 in the Life of David Series. We review Goliath, discuss Saul's anger and jealousy toward David. Saul also begins to hate David and throws his spear at him. He hopes the Philistines will kill David. Saul also realizes that God isn't with him anymore and He is with David. David marries Saul's daughter Michal.
