Teen Tuesday: Spiritual Accountability

Tuesday, January 6, 2015
At the start of every New Year many people create resolutions about how they will make themselves better in the New Year. These resolutions usually have to do with health, fitness, relationships, or personal needs. However, many people overlook the most important type of resolution that could make- spiritual resolutions. How can a person improve themselves spiritually for the coming year? How can they draw themselves closer to God? This topic is written by Danielle Ringold.

This week there is a layered heart for the students to fill-in-the-blanks while discussing some of the things that Jesus did to show how much He loves us.

IFA: Investigating Bible Facts in Acts Supplies

Wednesday, October 22, 2014
www.biblefunforkids.com
There were so many great items for sale this Spring for VBS that had to do with Investigators! I started at Hobby Lobby and my head just filled with all kinds of ideas! Then, Oriental Trading had a lot, so I had even more ideas in my head! Then, Lifeway had their VBS with the Agency D3, and I found some items in their store! Since I thought Investigating Bible Facts is a great idea anyway, I decided to teach the 30 weeks of Acts with this theme. I will have bulletin boards, worksheets and different ideas for this. When I can, I will have the idea usable for any Bible lessons, not just Acts.

Parable of the Rich Fool, the Hidden Treasure & the Pearl of Great Price

Saturday, October 11, 2014
This week's lesson are three parables from Jesus. These are the visuals I set up. The barn is a bird house I found at a craft store and painted. I found the grain stalks during the fall and added some Fisher Price fencing and more bales of grain. The Pearl of Great Price is a basket with larger (8 mm) pearl beads. The treasure is a wood box that I found at Hobby Lobby. I just used brown fabric  (or felt or actual dirt). I let the students have a treasure chest, added a pearl bead and a grain stalk. Then, add stickers of Jesus, the Bible, Heaven and discuss what real treasure is.

Preschool Alphabet: A is for Areopagus in Athens

Thursday, September 18, 2014
These preschool Bible lessons are created and used at home, so there are some basic preschool learning skills printables added to each post. The Bible lesson and Bible printables are suitable for home or Bible class use. As of this post, we have covered most of the alphabet, but now little sister is learning her preschool skills! So, I am starting over with the alphabet, and adding preschool lessons that are not posted here yet, and plan to add as much from the book of Acts that I can. This week's lesson is about Paul and he teaches about the Unknown God.
