Esther Part 1
Today's lesson is Esther and is divided into two parts. She is made queen this week, and we will have a feast next week! We act this lesson out, so there is not a craft. But there is a worksheet and Bible verse.

Gideon
Gideon is so
much fun for the students! This is a lesson with a lot of visuals and they are
able to up, moving around and loud!
Worksheets
Someone recently left a comment asking if there were any more worksheets, other than the list on that particular post. Each lesson has a worksheet, then I have a post with each set of lesson worksheets to make it easier to find. So, this post is a 'master' list of where to find the worksheets only.

Joshua: Rahab, Crossing the Jordan River & the Battle of Jericho
I know this lesson is usually divided into several, but I needed to cover the Old Testament in one year. Genesis and Moses were a quarter each, and different people in the Old Testament for the other two quarters. So, this is combined into one lesson. There are so many options for this lesson, too!

The Judges
Today's lesson is The Judges in the Old Testament. There are several options for this lesson, depending on how much prep time you want to do. There is also a bulletin board that can also be used as visuals.

My daughter told me "Mom, you need to write a post on how to put up a bulletin board!" She said, "There really isn't anything online on how to make the letters straight and just... how to make it look right!

Moses: Aaron's Gold Calf
Today's lesson is Aaron's Gold Calf. God told the people they were not allowed to have idols. Today's project is a Play Doh gold calf that I made before class for each student, then we smashed them during the lesson and talked about things we could worship as idols today, and God still says "NO!"

Scrabble Bible Bulletin Board
This bulletin board looks sooo much better in person than the picture! I wanted to keep it simple so the main theme didn't get lost. The title states READING, and the first set of letters is 'the Bible'.

Moses & the 10 Commandments
We are discussing the 10 commandments today. I have created a set of teacher's visuals and a student workbook that can be used with the lesson.

The Bible is a Library Bulletin Board
Our minister had mentioned in a sermon that one of his teachers said that "The Bible is a library." There are so many things to learn and it seems like we find something new every time we study it.

Moses: Water From a Rock & Victory over Amalekites
Today's lesson is Moses gets water from the rock. The more I looked at this lesson, the water from a rock is only one paragraph! I concentrated more on the victory over the Amalekites. Which is interesting. There are so many different ways to go with the victory. God takes care of Moses and the Israelites, his friends watch over him and help Moses when he needs it, they fight the battle together... Anyway, there is so much we can learn from this one!

Moses: Manna & Quail to Eat!
We are studying Moses and today we will discuss God continuing to take
care of the Israelites after they leave Egypt. I set up an area with felt for
the ground and threw out oyster crackers for the kids to pick up. The printable
project for today is a discussion starter and can be used for just about any
lesson.

Mount Sinai Foam Visual
I was researching directions for a Mt. Sinai visual. There are many ideas, but we decided to make one using foam. As usual, I pretty much knew what I wanted it to look like, and the size.

Moses: The Last Plague & Crossing the Red Sea
Today's lesson reviews the 10 Plagues we have studied, and finishes with the last plague. The Israelites are instructed by God what they are to do to be spared when He passes through Egypt for the 10th and last plague. The people are finally permitted to leave Egypt.

Birth of Moses & the Burning Bush Review
My Granddaughter brought home a list of things she needed to know for Moses from her Bible class. For me to review these with her, I made the questions into flash cards. Keep in mind that these are what she is supposed to know, but I did add a couple questions that I thought she should learn.

finish the plagues next week!

Monopoly Bible Bulletin Board
Here is a short post to show you a new bulletin board I just put up. It is one of my favorites! Sometimes bulletin boards look totally different than what you plan... sometimes better... sometimes not as good.
As I was standing at the teacher's supply store, just looking at these Monopoly products, it was one of the times I could see in my mind basically what I wanted to use everything for!

Moses: 10 Plagues Part 1 of 3
We continue with Moses and start the 10 plagues! The 10 plagues was my daughter's favorite lesson she remembers me teaching as she was growing up! Some of the visuals I have used for years! I don't mind putting money into visuals, since they last for so long and they really make a huge impact for the kids! There is a small one page booklet for today's take-home. There are extra worksheets to review the plagues also.

Picture Jesus Standing Here... Bulletin Board
My point with this bulletin board is we think we can do things we want, because we can't physically see Jesus standing right next to us. But, we know He can see everything.

Moses: Burning Bush
Today's lesson is Moses and the Burning Bush. You can see a more condensed version here.
The above link also has the directions for the burning bush visual you see in the next 2 photos. I have tables set up and I am adding a visual for Moses each week. And, if you can find my leprosy visual and take home at Michaels, the kids LOVED it!

Polishing the Pulpit (PTP) 2013: Overview of Moses by Nicole
My niece and her family went to Polishing the Pulpit this August 2013, and Nicole and her daughter taught an Overview of Moses class. She is kind enough to let me post the photos here so you can have more ideas for your lessons on Moses! You will see some of them on the Moses posts coming up! I love having new ideas!

Moses: Birth - Marriage
Today's lesson starts our Moses series! I will set up a table/tables and add a visual each week so the class can see the life of Moses all in order, and the kids that miss a class will still be able to see what we learned. And, it will help with reviewing his life in order. Today we are starting a map and they will have a cut and glue workbook for this quarter. Today's take-home is a slider that has the birth of Moses in order that I put together before class and we will use it during the lesson.

Moses Cut & Glue and Pictures to Color
These cut and glue worksheets are a little different from the last several sets that are posted. The kids I have this year love to color, and I prefer to print nice eye appealing color worksheets! But, for this series, I have made their workbook in black & white, unless I couldn't find the graphics I wanted, so they can color.

Genesis: Joseph Reunited With His Family in Egypt
Today's
lesson finishes up the book of Genesis and Joseph! Next quarter will be Moses
and there is so much to learn from him! We continued our Joseph in Egypt lesson
with the kids wearing the Egyptian outfits. There is a quick printable project
for today. It is a good reminder to love God no matter what is happening in
your life. Joseph stayed faithful while he was a servant and stayed faithful
even with all the power he was given in Egypt. There are so many lessons that
could be learned from Joseph & Moses! Thanks for stopping by!

Life of Moses: Map It! File Folder
We will be using this file folder Life of Moses: Map It! each week for the entire Moses quarter. The map is not meant to be to scale, and basically I only added the places that will be in our lessons for Moses.

Malchus Ear At Dollar Tree!
Just a quick post! The Dollar Tree has Halloween merchandise arriving in their stores and one of the items is, well, disgusting "severed body parts". But, a good one for Bible class is the bag of ears! Great for Malchus! Just add a sword!
Here is the original lesson and a printable for Malchus and Jesus healing his ear.

Owl Bulletin Board for Old Testament People
I actually was looking for a new owl bulletin board set from Carson Dellosa, and they have several choices, but none of my local teacher supply stores had any of them in stock!
So, I used the owl graphics I have from www.ScrappinDoodles.com and made my own!
