People didn't like tax collectors, but Jesus went to his home anyway.
Genesis: Abraham & Sarah
Sunday, July 7, 2013
Today's lesson is Abraham. We used a lot of stars for this lesson with the projects! You can print a 'Be a Star for Jesus' set of cards that are discussion starters. I used this title so these cards could be used with other Bible lessons. You can print them in color, black/white or in Spanish.

Genesis: Tower of Babel
Sunday, June 30, 2013
The Tower of Babel is a short lesson, so I created a cut & glue worksheet that can be used to discuss the things that we should build our life on that God wants. To go with the building theme, I have the cutest toolbox and tools for you! It can be used for any lesson and the kids are going to LOVE it!

1 Year Blog Anniversary with the Top 10 List!
Wednesday, June 19, 2013
It's hard to believe it has been a year, and with most
people's lives, a lot has happened on the blog and personally. I started the
blog because I wanted to be able to share God's Word. I remember when my son was in Kindergarten
and I went to his school to 'help' in computer class... it was all new then,
and I had to ask him "How do you turn it on?"... "How does this
work?"...etc! I still say, if you want to know something about electronics, ask a kid! Also, anyone that knows
me, knows I really don't talk that much, I like to sit and watch and listen, so
it is really amazing to me that I have a blog! So, that is a little about me!
Genesis Series: Cain & Abel
Sunday, June 16, 2013
For Cain and Abel's project, I created a file folder game (FFG). because I wanted to reinforce doing what is right, and what God wants, not what we want, I created the game cards for the player to move forward if it is the right thing to do or move backward if it is the wrong choice.
Genesis Series: Adam & Eve
Sunday, June 9, 2013
Today's Bible lesson is Adam & Eve. I wanted to spend time reviewing last week's lesson on God's Creation. I made the project for today so I could combine both! I put together the Lift-the-Flap, and there are options for these printables! We added stickers of things that God created like the sun, flowers, bees, butterflies, ladybugs, etc. The kids love stickers! And it made it more fun for them!
Genesis Series: Creation
Sunday, June 2, 2013
We are going to be studying the first book of the
Bible. It is in the Old Testament and is called Genesis. Genesis means origin
or beginnings, to come into being. It was written by Moses and the very first
verse says: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. In this lesson, we are studying God's creation found in Genesis 1-2.

Paul's Friends Traveled To Teach About Jesus Bulletin Board
Monday, May 13, 2013
This bulletin board is for our first lesson for 2013 VBS. But, I think it is a great bulletin board to use for Acts lessons, or even a hallway bulletin board with a couple of changes. I decided to add it as a separate post and make the printable downloads available for you. Because, really, these can be used for a lot of different bulletin board ideas.
Summer Series "Snapshots of New Testament Christians" Bulletin Board
Saturday, May 4, 2013
Our Summer Series are on Wednesday nights during the summer and ministers are asked to talk about whatever the series is for the summer. This year is Snapshots of Church Life in the New Testament.
This summer we are studying the first-century church
as a connected body of believers,
and exploring what characteristics became part of their
community “DNA.” What we can learn from them?

Be a Light
Sunday, April 28, 2013
I have done two different projects for this lesson, and depending on the ages of the students, and how much prep time you are willing to put into projects, you can pick which will be best for you. The light bulbs are thought questions and I just cut them out and put on a ring. The stoplight is the favorite and requires more work, but it still makes the kids think about what God wants from us.
Wall Lesson Visuals (OT) by Nicole
Thursday, April 25, 2013
I have something different for you! Thanks to Nicole Whitacre for permission to share her Bible class wall designs! They are different from what I usually do! I usually only do walls for VBS, even though there are a couple of lessons that I do walls for. I am going to divide them up, because it will be easier to view!

What Does the Bible Say About the 10th Plague?
Wednesday, April 17, 2013
This is different from my normal posts, but it is absolutely worth taking the time to read to the end! I do everything I can to keep my Bible lessons and wording scriptural. This is one of those scriptures that I want to have correct. Like, for instance, Jonah and the great fish, Adam & Eve ate the fruit, etc.
This is one a lot of people have trouble with, and I really wanted a BIBLE answer after the latest Bible movie came out! Well, here it is. Ha! We have a scientist we attend worship with! Scott can read Hebrew, Greek and even speak it. Oh, it is AWESOME! So, let's go back to the ORIGINAL texts and see what God says. (Special thanks to Scott for the work and study to write this forme us!

Review of Paul's Life
Tuesday, March 26, 2013
This is the last lesson for the book of Acts! This is a review of the life of Paul. There is a booklet that I have used and have the kids flip through the pages with me and as I am telling the Bible lesson, I hand out a little item that will hopefully remind them of that part of Paul's life. They put the items in their Fact Bags to take home. This is another of the kid's favorite lessons!
Paul Arrives in Rome
Thursday, March 21, 2013

God Makes Rainbows Song
Thursday, February 14, 2013
I found this really cute song at www.preschoolexpress and have been given permission from the original owner, Jean Warren, to use it on the blog! I am so excited! I have been singing this song with the kids I babysit for awhile, and they LOVE it! OK, so do I!
Paul Goes Before Felix
Tuesday, February 12, 2013
Paul was warned by the prophet Agabus what would happen if he went to Jerusalem. Now he is a prisoner in Caesarea and will go before Governor Felix. There is a lift-the-flap Q&A review for what/who we have studied so far for Paul in Acts.
Paul & Agabus
Friday, January 25, 2013
There is a printable book for this lesson. We will discuss different people that did what God wanted, even though it was painful, but as Paul said, "The Lord's will be done."
